Head Under Water

there's something calming about the ocean.
i like the wide open space.
the change from still as glass
to huge crashing waves.
i love the feeling of ocean waves rocking a boat.

i love the ocean.
i like every sound the ocean makes
from the soothing trickling of the tide
to huge crashing waves.

i love the smell of the ocean.
i like the salt smell exhausting my senses
drenching my clothing.
i like the sting of salt spray on my face.

i love the biting cold of the waves as they crash over
my feet
my calves
my knees
my thighs
the feel of icy swirling water around
my waist
my breasts
the frigid waves pulling at
my arms
my shoulders
my neck
the absolute roaring silence of water
saturating my ears
the opague clarity of water
stinging my eyes
the bitter sweet taste of salt
filling my mouth

there is nothing i do not love about the ocean
even with my head under water.
